Hope you like my smol present. I have a really nasty artblock again to the point where I think I didn’t improved at all after one year of daily drawing. So after my last present for you was hella messy (I just started drawing digital back then, but STILL) I decided to go all out this time.

About my obsession with green & pink …

There are some reasons why I like that colour combination, besides of my cracked up sense for aesthetics. 

See, a full saturated green or pink are really strong and glowing, they stand strong for themself. They catch your eye and direct your attention. One alone can lead you and is no problem, but if you put them together …

chaos. It gets kinda blurry and is even unpleasend to see for some people. Green and pink together has no peace, the colours are having literally a fight in your eye. One colour alone bring it’s own atmosphere, but 2 of this kind show no mercy to each other.

However they can harmonize with relative colours. 

There is no fight or blurring. One colour goes into another peacefully. The colours fluid like water in a river, without detours or obstacles. They make compromisses between each other and no one can tell where one begins or end.

Then the problem with green and pink could get solved if you just mix them?

Wrong.

There exist no good mix with these two. There are no colous inbetween, the only acceptable things are greyscales.

No connection.

No compromise.

I love these to pieces since I played Crash Bandicoot on Playstation 1 back then.^^ 

They’re PERFECT for me, because I always have cold hands, as if they were from a corpse. This is nasty while drawing, because my hands get stiff then. But with normal gloves I lose the fine feeling in my fingertips. So fingerless gloves are ideal! (They’re just not really useful outside, but I wear them anyway heh)

On the christmas market in my town is someone selling stripped neon winter clothing and I buy these gloves every year in a different colour:

(I have yellow ones too, but I’ve them not with me in my hometown now)

Well uhm … 

but this year I wanted a really specific colour and I was excited for months to see if they were available in this colour. 

It may be that I have developed an interest for a certain colour combination …

(*cough* I’ve not an addiction, I swear …)

So yeah, one of my chysler wishes this year where pink striped gloves …

Luckily I found them there!
